Joelle

Joelle is definately mummy's girl but she is very much daddy's girl too and grandma's girl and almost everybody's girl. She's hot property in our household. Actually she's many times more naughty than nice but she is compensated by her cuteness and wit. She's extremely diplomatic and very sensitive to people's feelings. However she's a challenge to manage because she asks alot of questions and she has a rather strong mind of her own. She is absolutely capable of understanding instructions but many times choose to challenge it. She still insists on being the baby of the house and vies for attention with her baby sister and she truely believes in her charm. She's loving and caring and sweet. She cries when people fight, even on television. She fusses over you when you bleed and mothers you till you insist you are better already. She dances and sings to her sister and Isabelle enjoys her entertainment. Joelle loves her baby sister but sometimes I do wish that she could adore her sister a little more than what she's prepared to give. It's not going to be an easy task raising joelle, it's going to be an exciting, overwhelming and fantastic experience with her. She's smart, she's beautiful and best of all, she has a good heart.

My girls

My girls, I do not want to be free of you.
As long as my heart still beats, I want you both near me. I want our laughter and stories to be so tangled that our memories weave into one dream. I want the world for both of you. I want you to be happy and strong. I want heaven to open up and pour showers of blessings all over you. Just like they did for me... the day you girls were born.
I am proud of what you girls have become.
I love your smiles, your laughs, your everything. I love you when you whine or even when you cry. Even when you worry,
I find them very nice.

I just love you because you are mine.

She's so loving...

Joelle is really a sweetie. Yesterday was the first day without my mum and my husband. My mum has moved out and Dave is in India. Suddenly I had to run the entire household. Not that big a household but the three year old is enough to drive me crazy. I felt so drained after that first night.

This morning before I left for work, I went up to my three year old and ask her to help me take care of Isabelle while I'm at work. She understands that I have to work because we need the money and she could also sense my desperation. She holds my cheeks with her little hands, look me in the eyes and says "it's ok, mummy" and then gives me a kiss on the lips and says 'I love you' then she pulls me close, put her arms around me and holds me tightly. At this point, everything seems worth it. She is such a loving girl. She is my daughter.
