Thank you all for your support. S$340... S$350 has been collected and will be presented to St. Theresa's Home when we next visit. I apologise to those orders that I have to turn down as my daily routine with the girls limits my bake load. Nevertheless we want to thank you for your kind support.
And to those who donated their change to the cause. Thank you on behalf of the Home.Sidetrack... I have developed a minor cough due to the daily quality checks after each bake. Since my daily bake load is only four boxes (maximum), I'm still enjoying the process of kneading, rolling and packing. I guess it's easier this year as I have a window of three hours every morning while the girls are in school. That was my office hours actually but for this period, I "took leave" to bake. *grins*
High standard of hygiene is observed (so do not worry) and as it's not mass produced, freshness is the key. So I always try to bake near to collection dates. However due to the lack of preservatives and dehumidifying packs, I would suggest that they be best consumed within two weeks. Any longer they should go into the refrigerator.
Can someone tell me why I find this so familiar?
Now I understand why I had to do that... it's to prepare me for the many years of wrapping the girls books. Everything is there for a reason.
