My Big White

Following my 小白, I went on to get a samsung galaxy S2 in white. I named it 大白.  Now I will be able to experience the strength and weakness of the two phones. Let's see who emerge the winner at the end of the day.


For now, I shall enjoy the phone till the next one comes along.

Punggol Waterway run 2011

We registered for the punggol waterway run with Eileen and family. The turnout was huge, the weather was great and we had much fun. Free cotton candy, pop corns, goody bags, great musical entertainment, fun rides for the children and best of all, Justin took the children for the run leaving a reliable companion for me. I always enjoy spending time with this friend, just walking with her, cycling with her or simply chatting over dinner with her. We have so much in common, really.

After the walk, we got a friend to buy us dinner from KFC and we had a good picnic dinner together. The event ended with a spectacular display of fireworks. We had a fantastic time and we look forward to more such events where we could meet up with friends from the neighbourhood and have fun together.

Painting part of our CC

Punggol CC has this 10,000 tiles project and we took part as a group. Four adults and seven children in a room specially booked for us. It was fun seeing how the siblings produced similar looking tiles at the end of the session. I wonder is there a study on influences among siblings. Anyway we are still waiting for the tiles to be put up at the CC.

Girls @ Flyer

My first time at the flyer was back in 2010. It was quite an experience. I brought the girls for this ride to fulfill a promise I made to them one year ago. Last year I promised to bring them for a ride on isabelle's birthday. For some reason, I do not remember, we did not make it then. It was somewhat forgotten till now. Anyway, it was a nice weather to fly and the view was fantastic. The girls had so much fun moving from one panel to another, posing for pictures after pictures and even engaging in some strange conversation with some tourists on board. 

I'm glad I managed to keep my promise and brought them here for this ride. They behaved very well throughout, nothing major to frown upon. I need not worry about them at all. In fact I could take care of my own fear in that capsule, discreetly. I'm not a fan of flying really and to me, one experience is enough. And the first ride will always be the best ride. So to my girls, I got their best ride.

Thanks for the gifts!

Thank you all for the gifts. Most importantly, thank you for gracing this party with your presence. Isabelle enjoyed herself tremendously that day. We all did. I totally appreciate the friendships that we have made along the way. What would this world be without the colours that your friendships add. Thank you all very much.

Isabelle's 5th birthday party!

My little baby is celebrating her 5th birthday this afternoon at my best friend's place. I still could not believe that the little baby who fought alongside me through complications and tears is turning five today. Time doesn't fly, it vaporize.

As usual, the girls having some fun in the pool before the guest arrives. Some of their friends join them for a swim too.

 

Like with every other year, we ordered the cake from our favourite bakery in AMK. This year we chose the apple martini with an image from her birthday card. Simple yet personal.

Next year would be Isabelle's 6th birthday and it will be the last big party for her (we agreed on six parties for each girl). She has decided on a chalet like her sister's last big party back in 2009. So I'm now looking for possible venue to host that PARTY! Initially I was thinking more about convenience but daddy mentioned that sincerity will bring the guest in. In short, if a person does not wish to come, having the party next to the train station would not make that person come. I agreed, so next year... it will be a venue of OUR choice.

Always a happy "join". I understood what she meant though her use of words... a little funny. But I think she did a great job by herself. The addition of the word "kid" means when they were younger and the text in the bubbles... classic.
