First professional studio shoot

Bought a heavily discounted coupon voucher from groupon one day for a professional photo shoot in a studio. I never felt the need to do studio shoot when I can take pretty nice pictures of the girls myself. But the offer was too good to miss so I thought "why not". I expected joelle to be shy and isabelle to stiffen up in front of the camera. I was so wrong. They were cracking the photographer up actually with their spontaneity and laughter. I was totally surprised and very happy with the shoot progress.

It was not difficult selecting the pictures. There weren't a lot in the first place. I was also determined not to purchase any more pictures out of the given numbers in the package. So these were the pictures I had selected and I liked them very much. I would be looking out for another heavily discounted photography session again and this time I would like to try outdoor shoot in some really neat location.
My favourite shot of the sisters.

Elephants in Orchard!

Brought my two neighbourhood girls to town for some shopping experience. Sometimes it's nice to ditch the car and take to the comfort of the fast, clean and convenient train. We caught some arty elephants along the road. We're planning our next town shopping already.

Sand play @ Waterway

It's been quite a while since these friends get to enjoy some quality play time together. This day, for some reason I can't remember, I have to baby sit them for a while in the afternoon. So I took them to the sand play at the waterway for an hour before I meet their mother for dinner. Though noisy, I think these friends should play together more.

Girls @ Flyer

My first time at the flyer was back in 2010. It was quite an experience. I brought the girls for this ride to fulfill a promise I made to them one year ago. Last year I promised to bring them for a ride on isabelle's birthday. For some reason, I do not remember, we did not make it then. It was somewhat forgotten till now. Anyway, it was a nice weather to fly and the view was fantastic. The girls had so much fun moving from one panel to another, posing for pictures after pictures and even engaging in some strange conversation with some tourists on board.

I'm glad I managed to keep my promise and brought them here for this ride. They behaved very well throughout, nothing major to frown upon. I need not worry about them at all. In fact I could take care of my own fear in that capsule, discreetly. I'm not a fan of flying really and to me, one experience is enough. And the first ride will always be the best ride. So to my girls, I got their best ride.

Thanks for the gifts!

Thank you all for the gifts. Most importantly, thank you for gracing this party with your presence. Isabelle enjoyed herself tremendously that day. We all did. I totally appreciate the friendships that we have made along the way. What would this world be without the colours that your friendships add. Thank you all very much.

Girls @ west coast park 2

Yes, we came back to west coast park two days later. Weather was good and the children played till it was time for dinner. I had not have so much fun for quite a long while actually and having a good friend with me was a bonus indeed.

Girls @ west coast park 1

After a party at the west, I suggested we check out the west coast park. It was really nice. Very spacious and the playground was very big. The girls had so much fun, they plead to return again. It was so fun, we actually allowed them to play on in the rain.
Daddy could not resist a try himself. He got the girls giggling so much trying to get him.

Back at the beach...

Since daddy was not working on sunday, 31 July, we decided to go to our favourite haunt together. Daddy went to blade while the girls built sand castle. After cleaning up, daddy brought them to the playground while I relax and enjoy some "me time". I appreciate this day and I want to thank God for it.

The girls do not have many opportunity to spend fun times with their dad and daddy do not have the luxury of time and energy to play with the girls. He is mostly tired after work or stressed over projects. So I am really happy that this is one such day where daddy can be free of stressful calls and really BE with the girls. As I watch them from afar, I marvel at what God made daddies to be. I would probably not be able to do what their dad did for them or play the kind of games that their dad could play with them. And I truly thank God for daddies. I thank God for dave.
As you can see from the countless blog entries about our times at the beach, you would not doubt that it is clearly our favourite place to be.

Let's go to the zoo.

My brother gave us some entrance tickets to the zoo recently so we brought them there during the youth day school holiday (4 july). It was not too crowded, not as I had expected. We headed for the white tiger enclosure as our first stop and the three tigers were just cooling themselves in the water. When wet, they actually looked so cute and mild, like a big kitten waiting to be hugged. We moved on to the outback area and saw kangaroos and whatever you can see in australia... yes, snakes included. Then it was the sealions, penguins and hippo and other animals... you get the idea we were at the zoo right?
After lunch at the sheltered amphitheater, we finally head to the kidzworld. The girls rode on ponies, touched some small animals and went wild at the water play. My mum and I chilled for about 45 minutes before we got them up to shower and make our way back to the exit, by ferry.
Did anyone ever say "no trip to the zoo is complete without a picture with ben and jerry's signature cow at the entrance? Well, every trip to the zoo must end with a picture with the cow. This time they have two cows (how did they know I have two children now?).
