Isabelle's walking

Look ma, I'm walking! And I can do the twist too!

This morning I arm myself with the camera and this is what I got. Ha! My baby is walking! Ya ya still that seven steps but I'm still super proud of her. She actually enjoys walking. I realise she will always smile when she's attempting the steps. She will anticipate your expression and really would wait for the praises when she stumbles into your arms. She's always happy trying to walk and I'm happy that she's enjoying her walking process. Well... after all no one is forcing her to walk now!

She is practicing so much these days that I believe she will walk on her birthday. I don't know... she's pretty unpredictable. But it's truly amazing seeing her through this stage. I couldn't believe I'm still so excited. After all it's "been there done that" kind of thing. I guess I'm a super duper mummy and I love my girls very much. Naughty they can be but I still love them no less.

Reading

Joelle is now attending a kindergarten of my choice and I'm happy and satisfied with the school. Though she often complains about her teachers scolding her (we're not too surprise if that's true anyway) and her outright dislike of the school, we found that it is just her general dislike of going to school. She actually enjoys being in school and playing with friends. What we think she doesn't like is waking up at seven in the morning and being away from mummy. Joelle is extremely attach to mummy and she doesn't like the idea that mummy is home playing with Isabelle while she's at school. Anyway this is the school and we are not changing schools anymore. In her four years, she has been to four schools. Finally we have found the one she's going to be in for the next two to three years.

Here she is reading to her sister. Yes, reading. The school gives her two books every month. Every time she brings them home, she will read to us and I'm impressed. Though it's a case of remembering rather than recognizing, I'm still impressed (mummy is a sucker for signs of little intelligence).

Joelle is 4!

Happy Birthday Joelle! I forgot that I did not mention this occasion because I saw it in Juli's and Danlin's blog. And I thought it's mine! Haha! Anyway we had a cosy lunch at home with family and few friends. Food prepared in Angie's kitchen with help from dear Mary and my mum and aunt. Small gathering but tons of good laughters. It was a nice party. Joelle enjoyed herself and so did mummy. Thanks to all that came and made this little girl so happy. See you guys again at Isabelle's first birthday bash!

Banana Blueberry cake

Did I mention I make quite a decent banana cake? I actually add blueberry to give it a little lift. I think that all banana might be a little dry and gelare so I add some refreshing blueberry and wala! it's good. Juli, you should try this. Anyway, I'm gonna try making bread next. Keep you updated.

Welcome Tricia.

This is Tricia, Robin's and Pricilia's darling. She's got sweet feminine eyes... double eyelids. So pretty. Now we have a girl band. Joelle, Tiiffany, Isabelle and Tricia.

Hey! Pick me!

Now what's the big hoo-ha about my sister being on television? I can sell biscuits too! Look at how cool my pose is... "Baby choice. The best choice." Now how's that? Producers? Directors? Talent scouts? Mummy... get me on television too! =( *sob sob* Everyone is talking about jie-jie so cute, so sweet, so clever. I'm also cute and sweet and clever!

"Isabelle? Are you whining again? Come here my very cute super sweet and ultra clever darling. You're the best ok? Now stop moaning and join your sister in the playroom." Mummy sighs... Goodness Isabelle is starting to show jealousy as well now. Whenever I'm holding joelle, she will crawl to me and insist I hold her too. Sometimes she will even push her sister away and climb up on me. She can be quite possessive too it seems. To think she's only one year old! It's tough when mummy is small built and can't manage both girls at the same time. Once both were clamoring onto me, shoving each other away and screaming in my ear for attention! They almost toppled me! Goodness! This is something only their daddy can manage. He can carry both in his arms, walk around and still play with them! They love that so much. Pity mummy can't do that.

These feet are meant for walking.

I wish I'm fast enough to capture this. Isabelle is walking! Well, for five steps!! Heehee... *smirk* Don't be mistaken, I never wanted her to be a fast walker but when your baby is taking that first steps to independence, the excitement is always the same, be it sooner or later. I was so thrill when she took her daring first step and yes, I am the first to witness it. Ha! *smirking again* but when she went on to take the next step and the next and the next, I started to worry. I worry about where to move my stuff (higher of course!), I worry about my milder joelle having to run away from that little terror (biter and hair puller) and I worry about my poor arching back. That aside, I'm still extremely thrill to have her stumbling five steps into my arms. Oh... she is a brave little adventurer indeed. By the way, she climbs the furniture even before she can walk! I'm sure that gives you an insight to her guts. She's one little dare-angel. *grin* But she's an achiever.. really.. she is an achiever. *more grins and some nods*

A star is born?

Have you seen it? The TVC just went on air today. Isn't she a cutie? Well... which parent would say otherwise about their child anyway. *grins* I usually go around doing things during commercial breaks but today, I actually stay and watch for her TVC at every commercial break and I manage to catch three of them. Not bad! I caught the first one in a rush as I was just coming out from the bedroom (we weren't inform of the air date), while the second time, I was a little critical about the choice of shots and how choppy the edit turn out to be. But at the third screening, I just thought how lovely my little girl looks on television. Maybe not everyone will agree with me. Afterall there are many TVCs out there with children and some are really professional. But how much are you expecting from her? She's only a four year old and this is her maiden shoot. I have to say she did well by not throwing tantrum or crying or refusing to cooperate. Judging from my professional experience without any biases, she did brilliantly that day and I'm so very proud of her.

Look at how patiently she waited for her turn. I tried to make her nap knowing how impossible it would be with all the lights, noise and people on location. Luckily I brought along some activity books, colour pencils and a story book to keep her company. Of course not forgetting snacks and candies and some carrot-on-a-stick. Haha! I was very well prepared indeed. Thanks to my past experience in filming with children. I think I make a pretty good "manager".
