Now this has been my lifelong dream. I have never been able to work on it. I started writing short stories inspired by life experiences since my twenties. Till today, I have only one completed story which was unabashedly sent out for a competition. I did not get published of course but that did not deter me from trying again. After all, it is not solely the dream of being published but the desire to write and remember and the ability to transform any memory into a beautiful story that sold me to writing. And I must start again. In this lifetime, I want to be proud to be able to pen some stories based on inspiring memories.
So, let's get started.
Hmmm... writer's block... let's try again tomorrow...

Girls @ west coast park 2
Yes, we came back to west coast park two days later. Weather was good and the children played till it was time for dinner. I had not have so much fun for quite a long while actually and having a good friend with me was a bonus indeed.

Girls @ west coast park 1
After a party at the west, I suggested we check out the west coast park. It was really nice. Very spacious and the playground was very big. The girls had so much fun, they plead to return again. It was so fun, we actually allowed them to play on in the rain.
Daddy could not resist a try himself. He got the girls giggling so much trying to get him.

A new bike for the girl
This year, we wanted to get her a new pair of roller blades. Hers were passed down from joelle and really worned out. But she asked for a new bicycle instead. She said "I already have roller blades but I don't have a bicycle". We were reluctant as we know how fast a child outgrow a bike. So we decided to get her a cheap set and once she learn to cycle on two wheels, we'll get her a better bike that could possibly last her a few more years.
This is the bike we got for her and she has been cycling since. Every evening, she would ask to cycle to the playground. She even cycle to her chinese enrichment class two bus stop away. She cycles everywhere. I'm happy to see her feeling so proud of her new bike. Though it's not in her favourite colour, though it doesn't has a basket in front or frills down the handles, I can see the fondness she has for her new bicycle. She's such an easily contented little angel.
Happy birthday baby doll!

My little artist... and I'm so proud of her
I'm showing off.. no I'm not showing off.. ok I AM showing off. Why shouldn't I when I have a little artist in my house? These are joelle's latest doodles and I'm so very proud of her. She has an interesting way of drawing and I like it. What do you think?

Back at the hospital... again
A horrible start to the national day holiday indeed. We were suppose to be enjoying ourselves roller blading with the girls but we ended up in misery at the hospital. I was in pain, the man was restless and the girls were tired and bored. I think the only consolation I had was the constant beeping of my mobile phone from my very concerned best friends. They kept me comforted and distracted from the many tests I had to take while in the observation ward. I managed to stay out of hospital and return home though I had to retake certain tests the next two days. Currently, I'm fine. Thank you all for your concern.
This is the second trip to the hospital for the same localized pain. I have been taking medication and definitely praying there won't be a third. However, I would still like to praise God for allowing me to go through this pain. It has really increase my pain threshold from the first time to the second time. This pain has also made me treasure the health that I'm enjoying on good days. And I have also received the assurance I'd always hope to hear from my best friends and those words were the true comfort in times like these. My husband's silent support is the perfect antidote to panic and my girls... oh my girls... for them I'm fighting for my health.

Happy Birthday YiYi.
This year, we celebrated my sister's birthday at my mum's place. Solo since my brother is in canada. I really wanted a good chocolate cake and found out that there is a branch near adam's road, which happens to be along the way. So we drove by and got an all chocolate cake from awfully chocolate. Mum cooked a beef-less spaghetti which taste nice though spaghetti to me MUST have beef. I have linked the past three years celebration at the end of the entry. Looking back, I can see how much my girls have grown. Amazing...
In the evening, I brought the girls to the playground for some exercise. The girls really like the playground there. Perhaps it's new, maybe it's not too crowded, in fact I like the place too. I enjoy blading around the little garden and the park connector. How I wish my mum's place wasn't too far away from ours.

Back at the beach...
Since daddy was not working on sunday, 31 July, we decided to go to our favourite haunt together. Daddy went to blade while the girls built sand castle. After cleaning up, daddy brought them to the playground while I relax and enjoy some "me time". I appreciate this day and I want to thank God for it.
The girls do not have many opportunity to spend fun times with their dad and daddy do not have the luxury of time and energy to play with the girls. He is mostly tired after work or stressed over projects. So I am really happy that this is one such day where daddy can be free of stressful calls and really BE with the girls. As I watch them from afar, I marvel at what God made daddies to be. I would probably not be able to do what their dad did for them or play the kind of games that their dad could play with them. And I truly thank God for daddies. I thank God for dave.
As you can see from the countless blog entries about our times at the beach, you would not doubt that it is clearly our favourite place to be.
