Joelle created a paper box for daddy and wrote this message. Cute right? So how much does a daughter love a father?
For the first time since I have been dreaming of laying my hands on this camera, I finally manage to not only lay my hands on it, I even get to "play" with it. Dave brought the canon 5D mark II back for rigging and I took the opportunity to try it. Power man! The depth is amazing and I reckon any photo will turn out brilliant with this camera. Only drawback... it's a little heavy for a petite me. Now I pray aloud that a project would come in requiring the use of this camera and it is to the benefit of crossroad to invest in one. *Wow!* (silently)
Recently joelle likes this cold noodles and have been requesting for it very meal. She likes it very cold with lots of seaweeds. I do give her other dish to accompany her cold noodles like grilled teriyaki chicken or baked salmon. It's very much a simple dish to make actually and can be quite nice.
I have always wanted my children to be water babies. When they were about four months old, I would shower with them under the shower head. When they were five months old, I would jump into the bath tub with them. When they were six months old, we brought them swimming in the pool. Now that joelle is turning seven years old, we thought it's time to throw her into the deep pool. And on saturday 5 june, I did just that. I threw her into the deep pool with her new swimming coach. I expected some fear and reluctance, but I was surprisingly wrong. She jumped right in upon instruction and was comfortable with it, almost like fish to water. Oh... I'm so proud of her, my water baby, my water girl. And I'm so proud of myself too. I did all the right things to get her so attached to the waters. Now I cannot wait to throw my younger girl in too. I'm pretty sure she would join her sister soon.
While joelle was having her swimming lesson, isabelle did her ballet moves in the water, splash around and soaked in the jacuzzi. Mind you, these were done with mummy fully clothed and dry. Unfortunately I cannot swim that day but I could not stop them from enjoying the water on a beautiful saturday. Of course not until isabelle promise to stay within reach and to order my every instructions while standing on the edge of the pool. She delivered her promise very well. I did not even have to raise my voice at all. she was within my reach at all times. I'm so blessed with these girls, really. Thank you Lord for them.

Did you noticed that isabelle's chipped tooth seems to be disappearing by the years. She lost a small part of her tooth when she was about 1.5 years old. Now what's left at four years old is only a thin slice. I pray it would not give her any problem in future.
When I was still single, I remember making noodles like that all the time. It's so simple and really nice. Just oyster sauce, sesame oil and ketchup as seasoning for the noodles, a sunny-side-up, hot dog and some boiled vegetables. Fantastic lunch. I recreated that for my girls one afternoon and hmmm... they did not enjoy it as much as I did. But the important thing is they finished it up.
To be honest, I'm not a fantastic cook. I dread thinking about the menu for every meal. It's like lunch and dinner everyday now during the holidays. I still keep it really simple for lunch which is usually noodles or porridge. I just discover that the girls like udon and cha soba. Yeah! I head to NTUC and lug back packets of udon and soba and the sauces. I usually have packets of seaweeds in the kitchen so I just sprinkle some over their noodles and they like it very much. Sometimes isabelle will request for porridge. Yes, she's my little oriental girl. So I will grill some slices of fish heavily marinated with italian herbs (their current favourite too) and another dish of vegetables (with luncheon meat in the picture below).

It's only the first week of june. I have another three week's worth of menu to come up with. Oh man...
