Joelle's 1st shot on TV

Since I was working on my company's website and updating our showreel, I came across this TVC which joelle starred back in 2007 and thought I should blog this for memory sake. 

She is really adorable and I have to boost that at her age, she did a good job. She did whined a little, complained a little and at one point almost refused to perform, but throughout the entire shoot, she never looked at the camera as instructed. She waited for her turn without running the set down. She sat and had her hair fussed upon. She ate the biscuits even when she had to spited it out (she did not like that particular flavour) once the director shouted "cut". 

I did not have to control her much but I did feel pressurized when she became tired and a little unwilling to do as told near the end of the shoot. It was after all a full day shoot and a little too strenuous for a four year old child. Anyway, I still think it was a good debut for her. She went on to do another two projects before she told me blankly she did not want to act anymore. Well, the last TV trailer marked the end of my "mummy-stardom" days. 

It was nice to see my child acting and appearing on TV. It felt really good.

When dave met jerine...

This is the first time dave met jerine and they're having a good look at each other. Surprisingly she did not cry and he's very gentle with her, just the way he is with little girls. I love this man and his gentleness with his princesses at home. We're all his babies. Me the baby, joelle the baby2(square) and isabelle the baby3(cube). That's how they were called when I was pregnant with them. 

 

We sneaked baby jerine out to macdonald with my mum and brother. She should be out of the house more often. Get some air, some light and some childhood fun.

Durian feasta

On the monday after labor day holiday, our neighborhood rc organized a durian party to celebrate mother's day. We bought many coupons as we have many durian lovers here. Dave called his family over as well as my mum. All in we had 15 coupons entitling us to 15 durians!!! Our total headcount? 10 adults and four children.

There were a few stations of free food and bottles of mineral water given away as well. Only the adults were interested in the free food. The children were all at the playground. The queue to the collection of durians were ridiculously long. Fortunately we had company. Jennifer and jason were at the queue when we arrived so we joined them. I invited eileen along as she really likes durian too. In fact, when jen told me about the durian party, I thought of her first. The durians were not bad. I hope everyone had fun that day.

Hello 小白

Finally, after months of deliberation and consideration, I have made my choice. And it had to be WHITE.

For months I was contemplating between the iphone and the galaxy. It's apple vs the android. I talked to friends with the galaxy and those with the iphone. I played with their phones and studied their functions. I started to lean towards the iphone when my anti-iphone cousin told me that it is the best phone around. And the final push has to be the launch of the new white. When that came out, I got it the next day.

I guess I'm now an official iphone user and a very proud owner of a white iphone. Yes, it has got to be white.
